Influence of the United States America on global diplomacy: Sociological reflection peace agreement signed between DRC and Rwanda

The world is indeed in the grip of numerous conflicts, which justifies the expression "world in turmoil". Unresolved regional tensions, the collapse of the rule of law, and limited resources, often exacerbated by climate change, fuel this instability. This implies the integration of diplomacy as a versatile tool to achieve national and international objectives.This forty-seventh book by Jérôme BUGEME CHIRABA addresses a topical issue relating to the influence of the United States of America on diplomacy, based on the peace agreement signed by the DRC and Rwanda on June 27, 2025.Thus, in the context of the conflicts between the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC and Rwanda, the United States of America played a significant role in facilitating peace, notably by organizing negotiations that led to a signed peace agreement. This American mediation was motivated by geopolitical considerations, in particular the desire to contain China's growing influence in the region and gain access to critical mining resources in eastern DRC.
