The importance of lifelong learning and its role in our lives is becoming increasingly significant. The world of work is changing at an ever-increasing pace, which is why continuous professional development and the acquisition of new knowledge are central aspects of today's (knowledge) society. Informal learning in companies is becoming increasingly valuable in comparison to formal, institutional, traditional education and training. This work discusses what both informal and lifelong learning in companies means and how important informal knowledge growth is in the present day.
