Inside...1974 1982

Comprised of former members of such bedrock bands as King Crimson, Mott the Hoople, and Free, Bad Company was fated to succeed from the start. Mick Ralph's blue-based guitar work and singer Paul Rodgers's resonant voice, combined with the band's simple, straightforward hard rock, made them one of the best heavy bands of the '70s. This critical review examines the classic era of the band's output, from the release of their eponymous debut album on Led Zeppelin's label in 1974, to 1982's ROUGH DIAMONDS. Considering the band on stage and on film in addition to its recorded material, the team of experts includes founding Bad Company member Simon Kirke, as well as the band's biographer, Steven Rosen. Featured are some of the band's pivotal songs, including "Cant Get Enough," "Feel like Makin' Love," and of course, "Bad Company."
