Inside the Mind of a Criminal

Someone is leaving James clues. A password he never set. A flower shop where a stranger says his name like they've said it a hundred times before. A wooden lily, carved and waiting exactly where he'd think to look. James doesn't know who's doing this. But he's certain of one thing - whoever they are, they know him. Better than anyone should. Better, perhaps, than he knows himself. He tells himself it's a stranger. A rival. Someone playing a very long, very careful game. But the game moves faster than he can think. Whoever is guiding him knows his habits, his instincts, and the secrets nobody knew existed. The clues always seem to know where he'll look next. They know what he'll notice. They understand the way he thinks. >Unless, of course, he doesn't actually know himself at all. No! Of course not, Anyone knows themselves best- James knows himself best. Right?
