This book presents the design and development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system integrated with an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) for real-time monitoring of patients' physiological parameters. The proposed system employs wearable biosensors to continuously measure critical health indicators, including pulse rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO¿), and body temperature. These sensors transmit data wirelessly to a cloud-based platform via Wi-Fi, where the information is processed and analyzed. The core innovation of the system lies in its implementation of EDA, which enables the automatic triggering of alerts and responsive actions whenever abnormal readings are detected. This event-driven mechanism facilitates immediate notification and intervention by healthcare professionals, significantly improving patient safety. Unlike traditional healthcare monitoring systems where delays in data processing and response can increase health risks the proposed system ensures rapid, real-time responsiveness. Consequently, it enhances the efficiency and reliability of remote patient monitoring, making it a valuable solution for modern healthcare environments.
