Islamic hospitality is an emerging trend in the UK hospitality and tourism sector, driven by the growing demand from Muslim consumers for services that meet their religious requirements. This research examines a niche market that has received limited attention, focusing on the preferences and buying behavior of UK Muslims and Muslim visitors from abroad. Using a quantitative questionnaire approach, the study finds that Muslim travelers are highly likely to choose UK hotels offering Shariah-compliant hospitality (SCH) attributes. Positive responses were consistent across all countries surveyed, highlighting a strong market opportunity. The findings suggest that UK hotels providing fully-fledged SCH services can attract families, business travelers, and leisure visitors, representing a lucrative niche for investors and hospitality firms looking to be first movers in this promising sector.
