Issues In Land Use Planning Yamoussoukro: the Context of Capital's Relocation: Current Status and Proposals for Sustainable Solutions

This book, intended as a factual reference document on land use planning and urban land management, sheds light on aspects that have been overlooked in the implementation of housing development projects in Yamoussoukro. The painstaking work undertaken to compile this book aims to challenge, urge, and guide all public and private land developers, as well as public authorities, by building the capacity of certain officials and other administrative leaders who have difficulty understanding the administrative, legal, and urban planning regulations currently in force. First, this book aims to highlight technical and socio-economic proposals and provisions capable of addressing all land-related difficulties, following, of course, a thorough analysis of the causes underlying problematic developments. Secondly, it proposes solutions in the form of recommendations to better address the difficulties encountered during the implementation of the program to relocate institutions from Abidjan to Yamoussoukro, which began in 2002.
