James Sanders (American Football)

James Sanders (born November 11, 1983 in Porterville, California) is an American football safety for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State. Sanders attended Monache High School in Porterville, California, where he was a letterman in football. He was a two-time first-team All-East Yosemite League selection and, as a senior, he was a team captain. He was also named the team's Most Valuable Player, was the East Yosemite League's Most Valuable Player, and was named to the All-Star Defensive Squad by The Fresno Bee. Sanders graduated in 2001.
