The Japanese Type 89 Yi-Go light tank (often confused with or referred to as the "li-Go") was one of the main light tanks used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. Designed in the mid- 1930s, it was intended to accompany infantry and operate in difficult terrain such as jungles and Pacific islands.
