Jesus Christ Revealed: Revelation Chapter One

Jesus Christ Revealed: Revelation Chapter 1Revelation is not a book about the end of the world - it's a book about a Person. In this verse-by-verse study, Michelle Shaver takes readers deep into Revelation chapter 1, showing that this often-feared, often-avoided book was written for one purpose: to unveil Jesus Christ.Combining rich Greek word studies, extensive cross-references to the Old and New Testaments, and honest personal reflection, this study walks through the opening verses of Revelation - the meaning of "apokalypsis" (unveiling), the divine chain by which God gave this revelation through Christ to His servant John, the promised blessing to those who read and keep its words, and John's own extraordinary calling from fisherman to beloved apostle. Along the way, readers encounter the eternal nature of God, the identity of the glorified Christ standing among the seven lampstands, and the angelic realm that moves behind the scenes of this final book of Scripture. Each chapter includes: - Verse-by-verse teaching rooted in the Greek text- Sidebars on significant Greek words, divine titles, and cross-referenced Scripture- Personal reflection questions and a weeklong spiritual journey guideWritten for ordinary believers, not just scholars, this book dismantles the common fear that Revelation is "too complex" to understand - and invites readers to encounter Christ Himself on every page.
