This book presents the Programme Intégré pour la Modernisation de la filière Automobile (PIMFA) in Côte d'Ivoire, conceived as a structuring mechanism for transforming the automotive service and roadworthiness sector. Based on an in-depth diagnosis of the vehicle fleet, existing service capacities and the weight of the informal sector, the book highlights market failures and the limitations of the current institutional framework. It proposes a programmatic architecture articulating the creation and approval of 600 SMEs, the training and certification of 3,750 technicians, the establishment of a National Register of Automotive Technicians, and the digitization of procedures via an integrated platform interoperable with public systems. The book analyzes the expected impacts in terms of jobs, tax revenues, road safety and socio-economic inclusion, and is in line with national policies for the development and promotion of SMEs.
