Jonathan Goforth: Not by Might, Nor Power: the Missionary Who Discovered Power of Holy Spirit in Revival

Jonathan Goforth entered China with a burning passion to preach Jesus Christ, but years of sacrifice, persecution, heartbreaking loss, and relentless missionary labor taught him a life-changing truth: the work of God could never be accomplished by human strength alone. After surviving the horrors of the Boxer Rebellion and burying beloved children on the mission field, Goforth continued seeking God until he witnessed the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in revival. What followed were extraordinary awakenings marked by deep conviction, brokenness, repentance, confession, restored lives, and believers set ablaze for Christ. Jonathan Goforth: Not by Might, Nor by Power tells the gripping true story of a man who discovered that revival cannot be manufactured-it must come from God. From the farms of Canada to the spiritually hungry multitudes of China and the fires of the Manchurian Revival, Dr. Michael H. Yeager brings to life Goforth's remarkable journey of faith, prayer, suffering, surrender, and supernatural dependence upon the Holy Spirit. His testimony still cries out to the Church today: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." - Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)
