Juego sucio: Empieza el partido

She is his best friend's sister. He knows he should stay away. But some rules are meant to be broken. When the heart decides to play by its own rules, is it worth following the ones everyone else has set? Vincent Rise is the star of the university ice hockey team: everyone loves him, he is the life of the party and an incorrigible playboy. But behind that seemingly perfect image, all he really wants is for someone to see him for who he truly is, beyond the façade. The only girl who has ever managed to see his true self is Leila Collins, his best friend's sister and, therefore, strictly off-limits. To Vince, Leila is a fascinating enigma. Beautiful, brilliant and untameable, but also marked by a past that has made her cold, distant and distrustful, especially of men. And yet Vince, with his tenderness, his overwhelming energy and his irresistible smile, awakens emotions in her that she thought had been buried beneath layers of fear and disappointment. When Leila finds the courage to confess her feelings for him, Vince rejects her in order to avoid causing trouble with his best friend. And while Vince tries to convince himself that he has made the right decision, she starts dating Ethan, a hockey player he cannot stand and who is determined to take the team captaincy from him. Between misunderstandings, jealousy and feelings impossible to ignore, the tension between them only grows, and the spark that never truly went out threatens to become a full-blown fire. "Vince had always said I was as cold as an iceberg because I never let my emotions take over, but that didn't mean I didn't feel them. It only meant I kept them under control."
