Karaoke Bar

Karaoke Bar is a 2026 studio album by Australian sibling duo Angus and Julia Stone, issued as an LP on coloured vinyl. Rooted in a reflective singer songwriter and folk tradition with subtle pop and country inflections, the record captures the pair’s warm, intimate harmonies and understated arrangements while exploring themes of connection, movement and the emotional afterglow of live performance. Written and recorded across different places while they were on the road, it has a relaxed, lived in atmosphere that feels both travel worn and quietly hopeful.Thematically, the album circles around the idea of music as a shared space where strangers become briefly close and the performers confront who they are once the stage lights fade. The production is gentle and organic, favouring acoustic textures, soft beats and spacious, reverb touched tones that leave room for storytelling. As a coloured vinyl LP, Karaoke Bar also appeals to collectors, pairing the duo’s contemplative, melodic songwriting with a tactile, visually distinctive physical edition that suits the album’s nostalgic, cinematic mood.
