In 1984, at 16 years old, I helped organized a strike at Fairview Mine. That act of defiance set off a chain of events that took me from the villages of Mpumalanga to the bushes of Angola, from interrogation cells of Maputo to the front lines of Kibachi. This is not a story of generals and politics. It's a story of wheelbarrows and spider webs, of: " Krusants" and "number 9,"of Jazz Hour in the bush and boots lined up next to burning kitchens. It's about the men who ran when bullets came, and the ones who didn't. From Fairview to Moscow, from Hot Pursuit to Walter Sisulu's warning in Patrice Lumumba University, Faithful in the Midst of Thorns asks the question that still matters: when the fire is out, are you still faithful? For anyone who to understand what the Northern Front really felt like-in the words of the one who was there. This booklet is my testimony BOOK sharing my story which is the historical MEMOIR of survival during war. Being faithful even when tormented. That is why I put not many characters because I do not want confusion or lawsuits. The book tells the story that is rich, alive and true. In I want to put the story in Big Screen-film/movie.
