Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) pose a significant public health challenge for healthcare systems worldwide. A one-month descriptive cross-sectional study of healthcare workers at Redemption Hospital in Liberia assessed their level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding HAIs following the Ebola virus disease outbreak. A non-probability method was used to select departments, and convenience sampling was used to select healthcare workers. Results: We surveyed 98 healthcare workers from the five (5) eligible departments. These included physicians (8.2%), nurses (71.4%), and midwives (19.4%). The mean age of the respondents was 38 ± 6.7 years. Of the 98 respondents, 70.4% of healthcare workers correctly defined a healthcare-associated infection. Regarding exposure risks, 20.4% of respondents reported having experienced at least one accident or exposure to risk in the past twelve months. The risks of exposure to major infections were known to 73.5% of respondents.
