L'apiculture Durable en République Démocratique du Congo

This book, L'Apiculture durable en République Démocratique du Congo : Pratiques, potentiel et perspectives, analyzes the ecological, economic and social role of pollinators in food security and agro-ecological transition. Using a multidisciplinary approach and field data, it explores the diversity of Congolese bees, their interactions with plants and the ecosystem services they provide. The author assesses the structuring of the honey industry using the VCA4D tool, identifying the technical, institutional and economic constraints that limit its competitiveness. The study shows that low-input beekeeping, adapted to the rural context, can become a major lever for sustainable development, community empowerment and resilience in the face of climate change. The book makes recommendations for the implementation of a national strategy to promote pollinators and an inclusive green economy based on biodiversity.
