There was a time when Chie dreamed of becoming a kintsugi artist, a traditional Japanese art that repairs broken pottery with gold. But in her day, only men could learn it. Years later, when her granddaughter Mao asks her to teach her, Chie is overcome with nostalgia and doubt, and decides that perhaps it's best not to reopen old wounds. However, Mao, who believes in second chances, convinces her grandmother to embark on a journey to find the man who once inspired her to practice kintsugi. The Kintsugi House is a story that shows not only how broken pottery can be repaired with gold, but also how broken souls become even more beautiful in the healing process.
