La transcripción para guitarra: Arte, método e intuición

Throughout history, the guitar and its predecessor instruments have relied on the practice of adapting music not originally written for them. In fact, a large part of the current repertoire consists of transcriptions and arrangements of music from all eras. However, it is not common for guitar students to receive training on this subject, which is so closely linked to their instrument, during their musical studies, and there is not even a specialized bibliography they can turn to in order to alleviate this deficiency. With this book, Juan Manuel Ruiz Pardo aims to reverse the situation and make a significant contribution in this field. He analyzes the phenomenon of transcription in a comprehensive manner and attempts to provide guidelines to help guitarists gain an in-depth understanding of it, develop their own criteria, and eventually tackle the creation of their own transcriptions. The result is a work without parallel, destined to become an essential reference in the near future.
