La vida privada de Piero Garza: X Premio Albert Jovell Novela

San Sebastián, in the present day. Gala, a woman who has been the victim of a 'love scammer', commits suicide. The case is closed by the judge due to lack of evidence, but the family of the deceased hires a detective, Fernando Astiz, to investigate the alleged scammer's new life and gather information on possible new victims, with the intention of reopening the case. The detective discovers that the con man is living with a new, wealthy girlfriend. They are living as a couple and he seems sincerely in love. She is an attractive and fantastic young woman, but she could be just another victim. At the same time, Astiz finds out that the con man is in a relationship with a young man from Valencia and an older woman from Pamplona. He also learns that the con man wants to completely sever ties with his past life in order to start a new one with his new partner... Lide Aguirre, who already attracted the attention of the public and critics with her first novel, Los trucos de la bestia (The Tricks of the Beast), confirms her storytelling skills in this work and offers a lucid reflection on the digital universe that surrounds us, full of dangers but also opportunities for personal redemption. In a plot whose twists and turns are impossible to predict, the reader will find themselves immersed in a captivating story whose protagonists are, at the same time, victims and executioners.
