last Again: A funny rhyming picture book about being in line and seeing what everyone else misses, ages 4 to 83

Zane Zamora is last at everything. When the class lines up A to Z, the end of the line is basically his home address. Birthday cupcakes reach him squished. The red jello is always gone. And the line leader chart? Summer arrives before Z ever gets a turn. Zane is done with being last. Then one ordinary morning, from the very back of the line, he spots a runaway hamster nobody else has noticed. At recess, a lost stuffed bunny. At dismissal, his teacher's fallen keys. While the front of the line stares at a door, the back of the line sees everything. Last Again is a funny, warm rhyming read-aloud for ages 4 to 8, with hand-painted gouache illustrations and a fresh, concrete take on confidence: last is not less, last sees the whole line. Perfect for classroom read-alouds, back to school season, and every kid who has ever been picked last, fed last, or lined up last.
