Lavender and Lies

When Trixie Callender opened her Lavender House TherapyCentre, with hopes for a profi table, sweetly-scented, calmingenvironment, she could not have foreseen the impact to bemade by a troubled and troublesome client. The effect onthe therapists, their families and friends , causes ripples thatfragment relationships and results in some suspicious deaths.An institution founded partly on unsupported theories andpractices, in an atmosphere of faith and hope, refl ects a largerpicture where half-truths and absolute lies easethe social wheels.Now retired with an MA in Education I was headteacher ofa Special School on the Isle of Wight,UK. I began to writefi ction and have had several short stories published. Interestedin debates about alternative therapies, I thought there was roomfor a black comedy with a Therapy Centre as the focus.
