Lavender's Garden: Epibloom

A novella by Jordan Hawkey set in the animal world of Ghonsor from the Twins of Legend series. This book is a story about a young meerkat from this world who has a seizure and is diagnosed with epilepsy. It then is a story about her finding medication, fantasizing the challenges of that journey. This book has a dyslexic friendly layout with a larger and clearer font, as well as bigger spacing. This also makes this series excellent as an entry novel for readers moving on from picture books, with the layout helping the reader progress through the pages quicker to help build up reading confidence. While targeted at young readers aged 8-14, the content of the novel still engages readers of all ages.Lavender lived life in her town as an ordinary meerkat, until that is, her diagnosis of epilepsy. Now that she is purple, Lavender and her brother Orion must embark on a quest to find a mysterious plant called epibloom, which has the properties to create a medication that can stop her seizures.
