Lea and the Whole Wide Zoo: A Day of Wonder at Zoo

Today is the day. Lea is going to the zoo! From the moment the great painted gates swing open, the whole wide world is waiting: flamingos balanced on one leg, giraffes as tall as the treetops, penguins that fly underwater, and a lion whose roar rolls right through her boots. Some of it is funny. Some of it is just a little bit scary. And when a gust of wind carries Lea's red balloon up and away over the rooftops, the day grows bigger still. With Mum, Dad and baby Noam beside her, Lea discovers the gentlest kind of brave: not knowing everything, not being loud, just looking close. "Wonder is looking close," says Dad. "That's all. That's all."A warm read-aloud for ages 3 to 5, Lea and the Whole Wide Zoo is a story about curiosity, courage and seeing the world with wide-open eyes, with a little red balloon hiding on every page for small readers to find.Book two of The Adventures of Lea.
