This is the guiding principle of the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion. Does this statement hold true in reality? The author explores this question by speaking to people from various sectors who have experienced burnout in the course of their everyday working lives and have overcome it with the help of therapy, self-awareness and/or a change of job.
