Over de auteur He-On Tsao The author, He-On Tsao, was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Growing up with Chinese roots, the author already was interested in Chinese language and culture from a young age. It was during the Bachelor’s Program Chinese Studies at Leiden University where he also developed an interest in teaching and education. After graduated at Leiden University, the author studied the Master’s Program Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) in Taipei, Taiwan. It was during this time where the author developed a deep interest in modern spoken Chinese and the design of teaching materials. The author believes that learning new words and grammar are not enough to learn Chinese. In order to learn Chinese, the learner needs to develop a “language sense”（語感）and to think as native Chinese speaker. The author hopes to have provided creative and even sometimes humorous daily-life dialogues to stimulate the Chinese learner.
