Learning to Count

This text provides photocopiable activities and games to develop the counting skills of three-to-five year-olds. All the activities require the use of familiar resources such as dice, buttons and play-dough, to reflect the experiences found in early years classrooms. The activities focus on the numbers one to ten and encourage skills such as matching, saying the numbers in order, counting a collection of "things" and reading and writing numbers. Teachers' notes suggest how to make the most of each sheet. All the activities are also suitable for older children with special needs.
