Lenore: The Raven and Other Poems

"Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore.'"In 1845 Edgar Allan Poe published The Raven and Other Poems, the collection that sealed his fame and gave the world its most famous poem of grief and madness. This Lightbound Library edition takes its cover title, Lenore, from Poe's recurring elegy for a beautiful dead woman - the lost love whose name tolls through his darkest and most musical verse.Within these pages are The Raven itself, with its midnight visitor and its unforgettable refrain; the mournful Lenore; the eerie stillness of The Sleeper; and the theatrical dread of The Conqueror Worm. Hypnotic, gothic, and obsessed with beauty, death, and the beyond, these classic American poems remain the touchstone of horror and mourning in English verse. This is a Lightbound Library edition from Solocosmo Press, fronted by an original cover painting by Jessica von Braun.
