Lessons in Exposure: A Trans Woman and Older Cis Lesbian Professor-Student Romance

Doctoral candidate Sabrina Vale is building Unfit for Display, an exhibition about the histories institutions would rather hide. At a university fundraiser, she meets Meredith Shaw, a brilliant older professor who makes her feel seen. One kiss becomes more. Then Meredith walks into Sabrina's required seminar. They know continuing is forbidden. Before the first paper is graded, Meredith discloses the relationship, surrenders every role that could affect Sabrina's degree, and secures an anonymous independent evaluator. The safeguard protects Sabrina's record, but not their reputations. When a leak and donor pressure threaten the exhibition, Sabrina and Meredith must face what accountability costs, what privacy means, and whether love can survive on unequal ground. Lessons in Exposure is a high-heat academic romance featuring a trans doctoral candidate, an older cis lesbian professor, consensual power exchange, forbidden love, institutional scandal, and a hard-won happily ever after.
