However, the high cost of feed hinders the growth of fish farming in this region. This is because the ingredients used in the production of fish feed are imported from other regions, making feed more expensive. An alternative to solve this problem is to use regional ingredients to make feed. This book describes the feasibility of using leucena in tambaqui feed. Studies such as this contribute to the development of economically viable, environmentally friendly, and socially just fish farming in the Amazon.
