Bol Tuberculosis is a veritable scourge throughout the world. The population's knowledge of this disease is an asset in reducing its contamination and the associated death rate. The aim of this study was to contribute to improving the management of tuberculosis in the provincial city of Kinshasa by assessing the population's level of knowledge about the disease. We carried out a cross-sectional, descriptive study involving 300 randomly selected respondents from 4 churches in the city of Kinshasa. The socio-demographic characteristics and knowledge of this population about tuberculosis were studied.Of the 300 respondents, 53.3% were women with an average age of 30.4±11.9 years. Among them, 45.3% had a low socio-economic status. One hundred percent of respondents were informed about tuberculosis; the medical profession and the media were the main sources of information. Overall good knowledge of tuberculosis was 15%. Knowledge was significantly higher among civil servants (p=0.048), Protestants and Kimbanguists (p=0.007).
