Life Beyond The Binge: A Commercial Fisherwoman's Journey Home

After decades working on the dangerous waters of the Bering Sea-and surviving more near¿death moments on land than she can count, Colleen finally faced the truth she had been running from: binge drinking was the wild card threatening to destroy her life. When her husband died by suicide after an alcohol¿fueled night, everything changed. Yet, it would take years for her to wake up from her own denial. In this raw and deeply human memoir, Colleen takes readers through the storms, losses, stories she created, regrets, and awakenings that led her back to her true self-her North Star, home. Both a cautionary tale and a message of hope, Life Beyond the Binge: A Commercial Fisherwoman's Journey Home, offers comfort, clarity, and direction to anyone questioning their relationship with alcohol-or searching for the courage to change. The underlying questions without judgment are, "How is it working for you?" "What are the stories we tell ourselves and are they true?" Give it a read to find out.
