Life in the world of books

Books have made an enormous contribution to the development of culture. From generation to generation, they have passed on the experience and knowledge accumulated by humanity. The advent of the information age has brought about changes in this process. New modern technologies have emerged: e-books, tablets, e-readers, smartphones, and the Internet. They have carved out their niche in the educational space, making modern life more comfortable and providing new opportunities. Modern electronic libraries are being created, new options for distance learning are emerging, as well as virtual museums, tourism, television, cinemas, and concert halls. However, no matter what wonders technology achieves, the good old printed book will always be there as a faithful friend-to comfort, advise, guide, and smile. The "death of the book" in the modern world is more myth than reality, as there is a clear trend toward the symbiosis of book and information cultures. This creates the prospect that books will be able to transform and enter a new virtual culture while retaining their full potential. We need books not to be stored away like old artifacts, but to help develop the spirituality and morality of the people.
