LILY & LARA'S SECRET LEMONADE BUSINESS: A Birthday Surprise For Dad (Short Bedtime Stories Children)

Dad's backyard has a problem. A very yellow problem: lemons everywhere. When Lily realizes her birthday budget for Dad is... creative (one dollar, a few coins, two stickers, and something that might once have been a raisin), she recruits her cousin Lara for one very secret mission. Turn a backyard full of lemons into a real birthday surprise, before Dad - who is far too busy watching football to notice anything - catches on.Getting there is not quite as easy as it sounds. There is a batch that is way too sour, a batch that is way too sweet, and one truly unfortunate mix-up between the sugar and the salt. There is a dog who thinks he was hired as security, a cat who wants absolutely nothing to do with any of it, and a mom who is paying a lot more attention than the girls realize. Can Lily and Lara sell one hundred cups of lemonade and pull off the birthday surprise of the year, before Dad finds out?Lily & Lara's Secret Lemonade Business is Book 6 in the Silly Story Series, a growing collection of funny, heartwarming picture books about kid-sized mischief and everyday adventures.Kids (and grown-ups) will love: - Two clever, funny heroines who solve their own problems, one silly mistake at a time- A satisfying dose of trial and error, from sour lemonade to salty lemonade to the perfect batch- A warm ending about earning something yourself and using it to make someone else happy- Full-color illustrations throughoutPerfect for bedtime reading with kids ages 3 to 12, fans of funny sibling-and-cousin stories, birthday-themed picture books, and any family that has ever had way too many lemons.Grab a cup.
