Listen As The Heart Whispers: An Uplifting Journey for Your Mind and Soul

Listen As the Heart Whispers follows Elisa McClendon, a woman who's spent most of her life pushing through pain because that's what she learned to do.What happened to Elisa when she was young didn't stay in the past. It affected the way she saw love, the relationships she chose, and how much she was willing to accept from people who hurt her. For years, she dealt with each experience as if it were separate. Eventually, she begins to see that the same wounds have been showing up in different parts of her life, and she can't keep ignoring the connection. As Elisa faces what she's carried for years, she also has to decide what she wants her life to look like from this point forward. Her story is joined by poetry, prayers, Scripture, "Heart Whispers," and journal prompts that give readers room to think about their own experiences and the things they may need to face for themselves.Listen As the Heart Whispers doesn't offer easy answers. It tells the story of a woman who finally understands that getting through something isn't the same as healing from it. Elisa can't change what happened, but she can decide what she'll carry with her and what she's ready to leave behind. Her heart has been trying to tell her the truth for a long time.
