Listen to Mom and Dad Tell Stories - Volume 1

Aesop's Fables is a collection of fables originating from ancient Greece, traditionally attributed to Aesop and later compiled into book form by subsequent generations. By depicting relationships between animals, these fables reflect the social relations of the time - particularly the unequal relationship between oppressors and the oppressed. The author condemns the phenomenon of human oppression in society and calls upon the downtrodden to unite and fight against the wicked. For example, "The Fox and the Goat" warns people to be cautious about whom they help, lest they be deceived; "The Farmer and the Snake" advises that one should treat different people differently; and "The Dog, the Rooster, and the Fox" teaches the importance of using wisdom to overcome one's enemies.
