Live At The Curious Arts

In juli 2015 speelde Phil Manzanera, gitarist en producer van Roxy Music, met zijn The Sound Of Blue Band op het hoogaangeschreven Curious Arts Festival in Engeland. Tijdens het optreden werden onder andere de Roxy Music klassiekers Take a Chance With Me, More Than This en Love Is The Drug gespeeld die door de vocale inbreng van Sonia Bernardo, een jonge singer-songwriter uit Portugal die met Jools Holland tourde, een opwindende nieuwe wendig namen. The Sound Of Blue Band - bestaande uit drummer Javier Weyler (ex-Stereophonics), bassist Yaron Stavi (David Gilmour, Gilad Atzmon, Nigel Kennedy, Lily Allen), toetsenist en saxofonist João De Macedo Mello (Razorlight, David Gilmour) en gitarist Lucas Polo - heeft Manzanera ontzettend geïnspireerd en tilt zijn toch al verbluffende gitaarspel naar een nog hoger niveau. Phil Manzanera: ‘This is my most international band. It is so exciting for me to play with such a talented bunch of young musicians. I have to make sure I bring my A game to the party. You can never tell when magic is going to happen, and in this tent in the English countryside, it did!’
