Living in Sin

LIVING IN SIN CITY The industry calls them "Rock Stars." Tony Costanza calls it a scam. Tony was a legend of the underground-the original powerhouse behind Machine Head and the voice of the thrash-metal cult Papsmear. But while the world saw a heavy metal god, Marisa Williams saw the man behind the curtain: a "big softy" with a body broken by years of relentless drumming and a mind filled with the dangerous secrets of old-school Las Vegas. From the neon-soaked hustles of his father's insurance scams to the gritty reality of the tour circuit where music was a way of life, Tony lived by a single rule: "If I don't know I can do it perfectly, I don't do it." Through more than a decade and a half of intense, late-night phone calls, Tony entrusted Marisa with his raw, unpolished truth-on the condition that she wait until the ghosts were gone before sharing it. Now, following a prophetic sign and a near-fatal accident, Marisa finally breaks the silence. This isn't a glamorous look at the limelight. It is a "one-take wonder" of a life lived on the edge-a story of stolen riffs, "jail house" ink, and the intense, unknown love between a rock legend and the woman who promised to keep his legacy from fading into the shadows. Some illusions are meant to be shattered.
