Bol Compiled by Zhang Mengyang, a distinguished scholar of Lu Xun studies, Lu Xun's Portraits of People serves as both an intellectual companion to Lu Xun's literary artistry and a window into his philosophical reflections on human life. The work is systematically organized into three parts. The "Overview" section offers a critical analysis of the cultural psychology and socio-historical context that underpinned Lu Xun's judgments of character, providing essential keys to understanding his intellectual legacy. The "Gems of Lu Xun's Words" compiles his most striking aphorisms on human nature, demonstrating his penetrating observation and deep contemplation. The "Selected Writings" presents a diverse cast of characters-both prominent and obscure, actual and symbolic, from China and abroad-allowing readers to engage with the moral and intellectual tensions of good and evil, wisdom and folly, as embodied in Lu Xun's prose. Each figure emerges as a synecdoche of their historical moment, and the collection as a whole invites readers to traverse the eras and reflect upon the multifaceted spectrum of human existence and social reality.¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
