Lu Xun's Self-Annotated Collection: Sequel to The Canopy/鲁迅自评版作品集：华盖Ɓ

Lu Xun's Self-Annotated Collection: Sequel to The Canopy presents Lu Xun's original works alongside his own annotations and self-reflections. This unique format offers readers a rare window into the writer's inner world, revealing his intellect, character, aesthetics, and philosophy - the private dimensions that shaped his public voice. It is an intimate self-portrait that deepens our understanding of the man and his work. The collection gathers Lu Xun's essays from 1926 - including Roses Without Thorns, Diary from the Saddle, Supplementary Diary from the Saddle, and Records of Conversations - along with one essay from 1927, Correspondence from the Sea. In these pages, Lu Xun continues his unrelenting struggle against both feudal tradition and the servile mentality of those who bowed to foreign powers. Notably, the focus of his attack shifts from broad social critique to a more direct and intense engagement with the political struggles of the day.¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿1926¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿1927¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿Lu Xun, born Zhou Shuren in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, is the founding father of modern Chinese literature and has been hailed as the "multifaceted cultural giant of the 20th century."Liu Zengren is the Director of the Lu Xun Research Center at Qingdao University (the first of its kind in China), Vice President of the Modern and Contemporary Branch of the Chinese Academic Association of Historical Literature, and Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook of Lu Xun Studies.
