Lu Xun's Self-Annotated Collection: Wandering/鲁迅自评版作品集：彷徨

Lu Xun's Self-Annotated Collection: Wandering brings together eleven short stories written between 1924 and 1925, including such masterpieces as The New Year's Sacrifice, In the Wine Shop, and Regret for the Past. With their deep emotional resonance and innovative narrative forms, these stories mark a turning point in the modernization of Chinese fiction. They were written at a time when the May Fourth Movement was losing momentum and the New Culture camp was splintering - and they reflect Lu Xun's own changing inner landscape. In these pages, we see his profound sympathy for peasants and intellectuals crushed by feudal oppression, alongside his own complex, often painful search for direction in a time of retreat. What makes this edition especially valuable is the inclusion of Lu Xun's own annotations and self-reflections. Here, the writer speaks about his own work, revealing his intellect, his character, his aesthetics, and his philosophy - a rare self-portrait that deepens our understanding of the man behind the words and invites us to see his work through his own eyes.¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿1924¿*1925¿¿¿¿¿11¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿""¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿Lu Xun, born Zhou Shuren in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, is the founding father of modern Chinese literature and has been hailed as the "multifaceted cultural giant of the 20th century."Liu Zengren is the Director of the Lu Xun Research Center at Qingdao University (the first of its kind in China), Vice President of the Modern and Contemporary Branch of the Chinese Academic Association of Historical Literature, and Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook of Lu Xun Studies.
