Lu Xun's Self-Annotated Collection: Wild Grass/鲁迅自评版作品集：野草

Lu Xun's Self-Annotated Collection: Wild Grass gathers 23 prose poems written between 1924 and 1926, including classics such as Farewell to Shadows, A Good Story, and The Wise Man and the Fool. Composed during a time of immense personal and political turmoil - when Lu Xun lived in Beijing under the oppressive rule of the Beiyang warlords - these poems capture the profound anguish of a man who, despite his deep despair, refused to let go of his ideals. They are a window into Lu Xun's soul: a record of his continued struggle after the fragmentation of the New Culture movement's united front, his loneliness, his isolation, and his unwavering search for a way forward. What makes this edition truly exceptional is the inclusion of Lu Xun's own annotations and self-assessments, offering readers an intimate glimpse into the mind of the writer himself. Here we see not just the public intellectual, but the man - his wit, his principles, his passions, and his philosophy - inviting readers to know Lu Xun more deeply and to understand his work from within.¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿1924¿*1926¿¿¿¿¿¿¿23¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿20¿¿20¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿J¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿*¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿*¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿Lu Xun, born Zhou Shuren in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, is the founding father of modern Chinese literature and has been hailed as the "multifaceted cultural giant of the 20th century."Liu Zengren is the Director of the Lu Xun Research Center at Qingdao University (the first of its kind in China), Vice President of the Modern and Contemporary Branch of the Chinese Academic Association of Historical Literature, and Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook of Lu Xun Studies.
