Laurel is an idealistic young nurse who has landed her dream job in a busy tertiary intensive care unit. Until she inadvertently clashes with a nurse leader on her unit, she never took the phrase "nurses eat their young" seriously.Laurel finds herself the target of increasingly worrisome incidents in her personal life and in the workplace. Interactions with her colleagues become more and more strained.What transpires is a life-altering journey as she tries to protect her patients, her career and herself.
