He is the Executive Vice Chairman of the Yunnan Writers Association and a first-class professional writer. He has served as a full committee member of the 8th, 9th, and 10th National Councils of the China Writers Association. He is also a Yunnan Lingyun Cultural Scholar and a Young and Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions to Yunnan Province.His story collection Falling Asleep in Warmth was selected for the 2004 volume of the China Writers Association's ""21st Century Star"" Literary Series. His works have received numerous honors, including the Baihua Literature Prize, the October Literary Prize, the Selected Stories Annual Award, the Yangtze River Literature Biennial Award, and the Yunnan Literature Award.
