This guide was created in July 2012 following the shared observation by two senior student life advisors within the Health and Student Life Network of the Pays de la Loire region that there was no formalized tool for managing the student life department. Gradually, colleagues from the network joined the working group or contributed their insights. This work is not intended to be exhaustive and includes a degree of subjective interpretation. It is aimed at both newly promoted young colleagues and more experienced Senior Educational Advisors seeking examples of approaches different from their own, regulatory clarifications, and a source of reflection on their practices in team management. However, the areas of focus proposed here are avenues for reflection and are in no way intended to be presented as operational formulas, nor should they be considered as such. The table of contents is divided into two parts: the first presents regulatory, practical, and ethical aspects; the second takes the form of toolkits that readers can refer to while reading or use independently.
