Bol Today's poetry is too often so personalized or obscure that the average reader can make little or no sense from it. Paradoxically, there is also much poetry of the hallmark card variety - expressing emotions and ideas so simplistically as to be worthless to the reader seeking enjoyment in wordplay. Richard Beaty's collection seeks to avoid both these traps and these poems, while easily understood by the reader, are expressive of deeper emotions and feelings than are usually made manifest in daily life. Ranging from the contemplation of nature's vastness to the inner workings of the heart, Richard' s poems "seek to entertain, educate and bring quiet joy to the questioning mind"....Detroit Daily Press Read and Enjoy!
