In a bizarre coincidence Stephen is once again trapped in rubble; following a terrorist bomb attack on the Royal Courts of Justice. The mayhem caused by the blast is extensive and the rescue attempt is dramatic and intense. He again suffers similar pain and anguish to that which he had experienced as a young boy. In his distress, he examines his past and regrets the errors he has made. He rues the actions which destroyed his love and the duplicity and betrayal that led to total estrangement from his son James. Steve’s law career in England had prospered spectacularly but the World political situation - already the focus of discontent following ill planned events in the Middle East and the continuing greed of industrialists - deteriorates rapidly as politicians fail to curb the worst excesses of capitalism. Anarchists join with terrorists to create havoc. The Lord Chief Justice is assassinated and Stephen is appointed to take his place. Then the terrorist bomb strikes again at the heart of British justice……………….
