Memoir of a Bourgeois Hippy

Memoir of a Bourgeois Hippy is a rollicking coming of age tale chronicling the life of a spunky small town Canadian boy who discovers his bohemian and artistic tribe first in a small record and bookstore in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, then lands in a community of hippies in downtown Toronto. He escapes possible arrest for growing marijuana by jumping on a plane to London where he is hired by music promoters, discovers the rock group Mungo Jerry in a London underground station, helps organize a milestone Hollywood British rock concert festival in 1970 near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England. He befriends theatre and film producers who craft his quirky persona into a character in a play. His creative endeavors place him in circles of rock and writer creatives, members of The Beatles, The Who, and other artists where his originality and fearlessness demonstrate the power of an individual to forge a fascinating life.
