Merveilla

Merveilla, they called it. The marvel. To every eye, a different shade of wonder. A hidden society of progress. A land of abundance lost in the mountains. A treasure to savour. However, not everyone sees it that way. To others, it is a claustrophobic crater. A prison cell. An unescapable pit. In a society that prioritises chess and tradition over the hunger of its people, not everyone shares in the abundance and treasure. And some would do anything to maintain their grip on the wonder of Merveilla. And in an Armagaedonna year, where a new Coronati King is crowned, the stakes are elevated, the knives are sharpened, and the pressure intensified. Follow the intertwined tapestry of stories, as Kings, Queens, Bishops, Knights, Rooks and Pawns scramble for power over Merveilla. Who will be sacrificed and removed from the board? And who will cheat their way to the last row, and rule Merveilla's squares?
