Although chemical control is widely used, its continued use can have environmental impacts and promote the development of resistant populations, underscoring the need for more sustainable alternatives. In this context, entomopathogenic fungi of the genus Metarhizium have attracted interest due to their potential as biological control agents. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the potential of Metarhizium anisopliae URM 6133 and Metarhizium flavoviride URM 3998 in controlling the eggs and larvae of Diatraea saccharalis, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable management strategies for this important agricultural pest.
